  7. That is totally awesome! The music added just the right touch and had me laughing out loud.

We've had a couple of missionaries coming by the house lately. Apparently, my father engaged them in a discussion at some point while I was in Alaska and now they're hot on his trail. I'm not sure who's trying to convert who more - them or him.

  9. Have the Mormon Missionaries started handing out Bibles now instead of the Book of Mormon as the kid in this video is doing?

  10. No, but there were a lot of technical inaccuracies in the video. I don't think it was made by an "insider."

  11. I must say that last spring a very, very cute Mormon boy came to my door - I let him preach as much as he wanted. He even gave me his BoM (no Axe in it, though). And, yes, I am a pervy old woman because at 52, I am probably old enough to be his great-grandmother ;D

But, seriously, I think these young men enjoy talking to the atheists like me they run across in their travels because these guys tell me that atheists (also Jewish and Muslim folks)are generally nice to them and take the trouble to either speak with them a bit or dismiss them kindly. Apparently, their fellow Christions....not so much.

  12. Well, to us atheists, Mormons are no less deluded than mainstream Christians, but no more so, either. It's all the same to us. A lot of fundamentalists think of Mormonism as some kind of bizarre heresy. The missionaries may well get quite bad reactions from come of them.

And hey, who knows, maybe all he needed was a nice cougar lady to get all that religious nonsense out of his system.....:-)
