TED Talk Tuesday: John Lloyd inventories the invisible
I've actually featured this video before, but felt it was relevant to what's been on my mind lately. My favorite line: "I refuse to be drawn on the question of whether God exists until someone properly defines the terms."
"Adieu", dit le renard. "Voici mon secret. Il est très simple: on ne voit bien qu'avec le coeur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: Le Petit Prince) - "Goodbye, said the fox. And now here is my secret, a very simple secret. It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye."
^_^
Thanks for the vid. It's great fun. And he's right, of course, about Auden.
That was awesome!
ReplyDeleteParticularly liked, "The more you look at something, the more it disappears."
I like his point that the most important things in life are things you
ReplyDeletecan't see.
