New Hampshire now 5th state to allow same-sex marriage

Yay, New Hampshire! So happy for these couples!

(CNN) -- After 19 years together Linda Murphy and Donna Swartwout tied the knot at 12:01 a.m. Friday, when New Hampshire's law legalizing same-sex marriage took effect.

They were among several couples early Friday who married under a full moon on the steps of the New Hampshire Statehouse in Concord.

  1. I can't believe there is a law against gay couples marrying. Why do people care so much?

On another note, you should watch The Invention of Lying - hilarious movie that pokes fun at religion and atheism.

  2. Spencer, I don't understand why people care so much either. I remember hearing Jon Stewart say something like, "I was against gay marriage until I found out it wasn't mandatory. I didn't want to have to go home and tell my wife, 'Sorry, I gotta marry a dude.'"

The Invention of Lying is definitely on my "too watch" list. Have you seen this hilarious clip of Ricky Gervais on Inside the Actor's Studio?

  3. I hadn't. Thanks for the link. I watched this clip of Gervais at the 2008 Emmy Awards. Hilarious as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZp6cR4bxbY
